Artist's Description
One of the showpieces of Lake Tahoe's Emerald bay is Vikingsholm Castle, a 38-room mansion that is one of the finest examples of Scandinavian architecture in the western hemisphere. The owner bought the property to build a replica of a 1,200 year-old Viking castle with materials native to the area. It is vacant at the present time. The castle sets right down on emerald bay with beautiful views of Lake Tahoe, Fannett Island and surrounding Sierra Mountains.
